Soroptimist International of St. Helena Sunrise was chartered in 1995.  Since that time, our club has participated both locally and globally in programs to benefit women and girls.

Soroptimist International of the Americas’ major project is the Soroptimist Women’s Opportunity Award program.  Our club decides the amount of financial support and resources we will give to local women who are in financial need, the head of their household and want to improve their skills or education.

Another Soroptimist project we participate in at a local level is the Violet Richardson Award. This award provides funds to a young girl between the ages of 14 and 17 to applaud her community service volunteer efforts.
